What is unique?

There is no need in use of additional equipment for energy conversion. The platform converts the rotational and oscillating movements of the platform through a hydraulic converter into electric energy. The platform can work up to 50 years with timely repair works.

The proposed floating installation for wave energy conversion is a compact and ecologically clean solution for getting cheap renewable energy from the power of waves.
The installation converts cyclical changes of water surface level into electrical energy and can be kept at any distance from the shore. It is made according to the principle of equal permanent distribution of its own weight on four floats and a full mechanical connection between the floats. Due to this principle a floating installation for wave energy conversion rolls smoothly on the wave and does not create any tension in the structural elements which will reduce material consumption and increase durability.

Such construction is very simple to manufacture and has a low resistance to the incoming wave and high mechanical strength. It does not require permanent structures and is easy to maintain and operate.

Sea and ocean waves have a great energy potential, but all current technologies for extracting this energy are either expensive or inefficient and hard to maintain. One of the main problems is harmful influence of salt water to the components of equipment. In order to avoid it, developers tend to use stronger and more durable materials, like titanium, but that significantly increases the price and complicates the production process, with almost no change in longevity of the product.

The platform can even be produced from reprocessed plastic or other composite materials, which make SGerridae platform the cheapest solution for this sphere. In addition to this all the working mechanisms are inside the plastic construction and do not contact with salt water. These features of platform ensure working lifespan of 50 years at minimum.

However, they require a lot of fuel and human resources, which makes this way of sea border defence quite expensive. Moreover, they can monitor the sea territory only up to 15-20 nautical miles, which is not enough to ensure a complete protection.

Unmanned SGerridae platforms with the surveillance equipment onboard can be cheaply and easily installed at a sea border perimeter to monitor the borders in online regime and pass all the information to cruiser. The production of platform is much cheaper than the production of patrol boat, it also doesn't need fuel for the onboard equipment, which will help to save a lot of money and ensure a complete border protection. Moreover, the platform can be made of reprocessed plastic or any other composite material which makes it invisible for the radars.

But because of strong waves and flows the maintenance vessels may access them only in conditions of the calm sea, otherwise it is difficult to anchor and stay stable for convenient work.
